Mt. Washington Bike Safety Fair & Community Bike Ride

The Mt. Washington Community Development Corporation is excited to announce their Bike Safety Day, generously supported by the Seeds of Change Grant from the City of Cincinnati Office of Environment and Sustainability. Come on out for a fun, family-friendly event focused on promoting bike safety and sustainability in our local Mt. Washington community! PRE-REGISTRATION is strongly encouraged! 1:00-3:00 PM: Bike Fair (Bike Rodeo, Helmet Fittings, Bike Repairs & Inspections, Food and Games) + Recycling Collection 3:00 PM: Family-Friendly Community Bike Ride Free Bikes! Are you an elementary school-aged child (12 or under) who doesn’t own a bike? No problem. We will have a couple of new and gently used bikes available to use during the event. These bikes will be raffled off at the end of the event! Please note, you not already own a bike, participate in the Bike Rodeo, and be present for the raffle at 2:50 PM. Free Bike Helmets, Locks, and Lights: We’ll be distributing these safety items to children who attend this event in person. Priority will be given to those who pre-register and whose family receives any type of food/financial assistance. Children’s Bike Course & Safety Education: A designated area in the parking lot will feature a small bike course for kids to practice their biking skills safely. Local experts will teach safe biking practices through engaging demonstrations and activities. Bike Repairs and Maintenance: Several community partners will be on hand offering FREE simple bike repairs and tips on keeping your bike in tip-top shape. Limited e-Recycling Drop-Off: The Cincinnati Recycling and Reuse Hub will be available for the drop-off of a limited number of items for recycling.
