Local Candidate Climate & Sustainability Forum

Green Umbrella, in partnership with Action Tank, Groundwork Ohio River Valley, Cincinnati NAACP, and the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library, presents a candidate forum about sustainability action and policy in Cincinnati for candidates running for local office. Mayoral and Council candidates will have the opportunity to share their position and plans on issues related to the environment, climate change, environmental justice, and sustainability. The event is open to the two Mayoral candidates and all City Council candidates who have successfully filed their petitions (as of the August 19, 2021 deadline). This event follows up on the “Candidate Education Night: Sustainable Action in Cincinnati” event in April, after which all local candidates had the opportunity to work with Ohio Environmental Council Action Fund staff in crafting their platforms.
