Tri-State Trails Summit
At the 2026 Tri-State Trails Summit, we’ll explore what it means to create Trails For All and ask a bigger question: What kind of region are we trying to create? Together, we’ll look at how trails and bikeways can connect people and places, strengthen communities, create vibrant shared public spaces, and shape a safer, more connected region.
The Summit is a chance to learn from projects and ideas within and beyond our region, gain new perspectives, dream bigger together, and celebrate the progress our partners are making. Join us for a day with passionate, hardworking leaders who bring the vision, experience, and perseverance it takes to move this work forward.
2026 Keynote Speaker: Carol Coletta
Carol Coletta has spent her career championing public life, the joy it creates, and the community it forges. In 2025, the Urban Land Institute awarded her its highest honor, the ULI Prize for Visionaries in Urban Development
Today, Carol is a Bloomberg Public Innovation Fellow at Johns Hopkins University, exploring how public space can foster social connection and create more unified, opportunity-rich communities. Previously, as President and CEO of Memphis River Parks Partnership, she led a transformation of the city’s riverfront, including a five-mile bike-pedestrian trail and the acclaimed $61 million Tom Lee Park
Carol also founded Reimagining the Civic Commons, a national initiative that Tri-State Trails is a member of, demonstrating how transformative public spaces can connect people of all backgrounds, cultivate trust, strengthen communities, and generate greater value in surrounding neighborhoods.
