COV fam Ice Cream Ride!

3:00PM, Sunday June 12th - Add to Calendar
Wallace and Oakland Avenues, Wallace Woods, Covington, Kentucky
Join us for a slow, family oriented bike ride along the Licking and Ohio Rivers, and then to Eishaus for some frozen treats! All are welcome particularly our neighbors in Austinburg, Peaselburg, Wallace Woods and Levassor Park. Our ride will take us north to Clayton Meyer Park to catch the Licking River Greenway up to Randolph Park, then thru Historic Licking Riverside to George Rogers Clark Park, then west to the newest segment of the Riverfront Commons trail, a concrete barrier protected path along the Ohio River in Botany Hills. Then ice cream at Eishaus! The total length of this ride is about 7.5 miles, and, with the exception of three very short pieces on the Licking River Greenway, it is quite flat. We will be cruising along at a nice, comfortable speed. Besides the awesome ice cream, this ride will be a great chance to experience some of our existing bikeways, learn about bikeways being planned for the next few years, as well as places that need residents to advocate for new investments in bike connections in NKY and just as importantly how to advocate.
