MoBo Block Party (and Really Really Free Market)
When? Saturday, August 15 from 5-8pm (with bonfire after!)
Where? Knowlton St between Mad Anthony and Chambers
Who? Kids, families, MoBo members, neighbors of all ages
For one day only, the street will be closed for a safe space to bicycle. Learn the rules of the road in a traffic garden, challenge your skills in an obstacle course, and experience bike joy with riders of all ages. Come enjoy a cookout, prepare to commute to school or work, participate in a community art project, and swap with neighbors at a Really Really Free Market.
Want to participate in the Really Really Free Market? Please bring no more than two boxes to exchange plus a way to display your items: tarp, blanket, table etc. We especially encourage school supplies and bicycle commuting gear for this event.
{Clean, nothing broken, parts secured together, never furniture or food-What would you give as a gift? Free Bench rules!}.
Hosted by The Village Green Foundation with tours of the various spaces and programs. Join us in over a decade of empowering children while building community. From the initial seed of intent, we grew through participation in creating environments of respect, mutual aid and community interest. We have grown a model worth replicating. Come and look, stay for the growth in self, family and community.
