RIDE CANCELED for today... please join us at a future event! Ride Pleasant Streets meets on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of every month at Community Happens Here in Pleasant Ridge. We gather at 9:45 a.m.; share a route overview and safety talk at 10:00 a.m.; and wheels are rolling by 10:05 a.m. Riders from all over the metro area are welcome! These are welcoming rides with an emphasis on group ride etiquette, bike skill development, community building, and neighborhood exploration. The "1st Saturday Short" rides are <15 miles, and the "3rd Saturday Long" rides are generally 15-25 miles. Routes are varied each month. They are designed to take advantage of low-stress streets, bike lanes, and shared-use paths as much as possible. Every Monday is Kids Day at MoBo Bicycle Co-op in Northside! 

Kids can come learn to fix their bikes and enjoy bike-related programming all year long. Kids will sign up for a free annual youth membership, which includes *one free used bike a year* to learn to fix and maintain. Members can then come to the co-op year-round to repair their bikes, learn mechanical skills, and help other kids learn to use tools.

**Do it yourself:** MoBo is not a "free bike giveaway," but a space for youth to repair and reuse secondhand bikes with the support of volunteer mechanics. 

Kids Day is first-come-first-served and we generally stop taking new projects an hour before close. If you're coming for a bike, arrive early and expect to spend at least one hour learning to fix it. Come in throughout the night with repairs and projects. Kids Day utilizes 5 workbenches, 2 tool buckets, and at least 3 mechanics.

**Youth Membership:** Sign up in-person or [online](https://www.jotform.com/form/231715389904059) or a free youth membership, which is good for the calendar year. A youth membership always includes one free used bike, along with locks, lights, and adjustable helmets as long as funding allows.

The Urban Basin Bicycle Club is for those bicyclists interested in riding in the Urban Basin, such as downtown, OTR, Northern Kentucky and the Mill Creek Valley, exploring sights and scenery along the way. 

Some rides are themed (e.g. breweries, art deco etc.) and others are just rambling. Then we will rotate among various bars for a “debrief.” Sound good?

Join The Westwood Civic Association on a slow bicycle ride through Westwood. We will ride 2-4 miles which you can plan to take around 30 minutes. All ages are welcome! Meet at Town Hall at 6:30 pm. This event will take place once a month on the 1st Tuesday.

Guided rides will explore historic neighborhoods, landmarks, and lesser-known architectural treasures — all by bike. Whether you’re a preservation enthusiast, a casual cyclist, or someone looking to see the city through a new lens.

For October's ride, we'll visit sites along the Ohio River in celebration of the River Roots Festival. Due to the festival, parking around the waterfront may be limited, and participants are encouraged to bike to the ride if possible. Parking may be available ½ mile away at the International Friendship Park. Overall ride length will be about 6 miles.

These rides are free, open to the public, and designed to be accessible to a range of cycling abilities. So dust off your bike, invite a friend, and join us for a ride that brings Cincinnati’s stories to life — one pedal stroke at a time.

The event will begin at 12:30 PM with a community bike ride—visiting locations featured in the book—followed by a gathering with the authors at Roebling Books in Newport.

Difficulty:
- Advanced Beginner and above
- All riders should be comfortable with basic bike-handling and traffic skills
- We will regroup as needed throughout the ride

Terrain:
Mostly rolling with a couple bigger hills in the range of 5-7% grade

Climbs (steeper than +4% grade):
- Waxwing Drive between Hunt and Lobelia (~0.5 mi; max 5% grade)
- Cooper Road (on multi-use path) + part of Carpenter Run (~0.6 mi; max 5% grade)

Descents (steeper than neg 4% grade):
- Waxwing Drive between Eldora and Hunt (~0.3 mi; max neg 7% grade)

Traffic stress:
- ~90% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets and multi-use paths

Higher-stress areas:
- The busiest area will be riding between Pleasant Ridge and Silverton on Montgomery Road on our way out, and through the center of Pleasant Ridge on our way to the finish at Nine Giant. Except for ~5 blocks, all of this stretch will be in the bike lane.
- We will be there to share traffic tips and help you feel comfortable

Post-ride:
- Let’s gather at <a href="https://www.ninegiant.com/brewpub" target="_blank">Nine Giant</a> after the ride!
- We should be done with the ride by about 4:30pm.

Ride Pleasant Streets - 3rd Saturday Long Edition

Join us on Tuesday, October 20th, for Tri-State Trails’ Meet the Candidates Ride and help show support for better trails and bikeways. We’ve invited everyone running for Cincinnati City Council and for Mayor to ride with us, learn about the city’s bike routes, and meet community members like you. The ride will follow trails, bike lanes, and regular streets. Along the way, we’ll point out what’s working well—and what needs to be better. Before the ride begins, each candidate will introduce themselves and share their ideas for making biking and walking safer and more connected in Cincinnati. We’ll meet at 6:00 PM at the Sawyer Point Red Bike station near the Purple People Bridge. The ride will start at 6:30 PM and will be a short, slow-paced loop around downtown. All riders and all types of wheels are welcome, and volunteers will be on hand to support you and the group. More details about the route will be shared at <a href="http://tristatetrails.org/" target="_self">tristatetrails.org</a>. All participants must wear a helmet and sign a waiver before joining the ride.
