Departure Time: 2:00pm
- Please plan to arrive early so we can all leave in a punctual fashion
- We will meet in front of Community Happens Here
- Ride leaders will be there by 1:45pm to answer any questions

Distance: 18.4 miles

Difficulty:
- Advanced Beginner and above
- All riders should be comfortable with basic bike-handling and traffic skills
- We will regroup as needed throughout the ride

Terrain:
- Predominantly flat to rolling, with two notable climbs and one long descent.

Climbs (steeper than +4% grade):
- The fun serpentine where the Wasson Way trailhead winds west into Ault Park (~0.2 mi; max 4% grade)
- Lester Avenue (~1 mi; max 4-5% grade). On our way back to Pleasant Ridge.

Descents (steeper than neg 4% grade):
- Stewart Avenue (~1mi; max neg 5% grade)—as we head out of Pleasant Ridge

Traffic stress:
- ~95% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets and multi-use paths

Higher-stress areas:
- The busiest area will be riding through the center of Pleasant Ridge (on Montgomery). The multiple traffic lights, the lower traffic volume on weekends, and our presence as a group will all help to reduce the stress in this section.
- The lower section of Stewart Road (south of the Mini dealership) has a one long curve where drivers sometimes get impatient. Good alertness and group communication will counteract this.
- We will be there to share traffic tips and help you feel comfortable

Post-ride:
- Let’s gather at <a href="https://www.ninegiant.com/brewpub" target="_blank">Nine Giant</a> after the ride!
- We should be done with the ride by about 5:00pm.

- Community Happens Here asks that if at all possible, we do NOT use their parking lot during our events.
- Abundant FREE parking is located at the Pleasant Ridge Community Parking Lot, behind the Walgreens at 6204 Montgomery Road. This is ONE block from Community Happens Here.

Ride Pleasant Streets - 3rd Saturday Long Edition

An inclusive group ride for folks and bikes of all kinds! We'll roll around the urban basin with routes that focus on calm streets, local knowledge, and building confident ridership. 8-12mph avg, conversational pace, less than 20 miles, never too much climbing. No drop, very supportive, refreshments at Wooden Cask Brewery afterward. Meet at Trailhead Coffee inside Reser Bicycle. Parking is available at the National Band and Tag lot on Seventh or Wooden Cask Brewery on York. Meet at 2:00pm; roll out at 2:15pm, please arrive a little early. Ride host MartyB and super-sweeper Joe Humpert present DisCOVeRIDE—a slow n' steady ride to explore and celebrate Covington and surrounding neighborhoods! ——— Dates: 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month from November to April (yes, we are riding through the winter! 😁) Time/Place: 2:00pm @ MainStrasse Village at Goose Girl Fountain (Main and 6th Streets) Distance: 7-10 Miles (we’ll take it easy on the hills) Time required: About 1.75 Hours Who: You and whoever you invite? It's better to ride together. We’ll have people there a lil' early to do a quick safety check and pump up tires should you need. Other details: - Helmets strongly suggested - We’ll be riding in a group—not experienced in this, no problem. Just follow directions that we’ll share before the ride. - Parking (paid) is available in the MainStrasse Village Parking lot. - Free Parking is available under the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge or in Theatre House’s Parking Lot. The goals of our rides are simple: Get people on bicycles, have fun, be safe and see Covington from two wheels. Every Monday is Kids Day at MoBo Bicycle Co-op in Northside! Kids can come learn to fix their bikes and enjoy bike-related programming all year long. Each participant will receive a free used bike and learn how to fix and maintain it! This event is geared towards people aged 5-16.
