Join students, parents, and friends of Pleasant Ridge Montessori for the return of the PRM Bike Bus! This is an incredibly fun and empowering opportunity for your student at PRM to be an active participant in their travel to school. 

Held weekly on Fridays starting on August 21 and up through (and including) November 20. Helmets are required and all are welcome!

Ride Pleasant Streets meets on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of every month at Community Happens Here in Pleasant Ridge. We gather at 1:45 p.m.; share a route overview and safety talk at 2:00 p.m.; and wheels are rolling by 2:05 p.m. Riders from all over the metro area are welcome!  
  
These are welcoming rides with an emphasis on group ride etiquette, bike skill development, community building, and neighborhood exploration. The "1st Saturday Short" rides are <15 miles, and the "3rd Saturday Long" rides are generally 15-25 miles.  
  
Routes are varied each month. They are designed to take advantage of low-stress streets, bike lanes, and shared-use paths as much as possible. Route details are shared in advance (~2-5 days) so you can decide if the ride will be a good fit for your fitness and experience level.

Ride Pleasant Streets - 1st Saturday Short Edition

Join Tri-State Trails and partners on Saturday, October 3, for the Meet the Candidates Ride to demonstrate the demand for continued investment in trail and bikeway infrastructure.

This experiential ride is a fun way to explore Northern Kentucky by bike, experience firsthand what infrastructure is working well, and identify where safer, more connected facilities are still needed.

One of the highlights of the event is the opportunity to meet and hear directly from Northern Kentucky candidates. Before we ride, candidates will have a few minutes to introduce themselves and share their vision for safer, more connected walking and bicycling in our region.

We’ll gather at Reser Bicycle Outfitters in Newport beginning at 12:00 PM before heading out together.

**Don’t have a bike?** Cincy Red Bike has bikes available from nearby stations along Monmouth Street in Newport.

Northern Kentucky Meet the Candidates Ride

Ride out the Peebles Corner Festival in style with a guided bike tour. Meet at 3pm on the corner of E. McMillan St and Kemper Ln. We will leisurely ride 2.3 miles total and stop to learn about seven community gardens along the way. Our tour will end at The Fix Coffeehouse where you can top off on water, enjoy a fresh lemonade, or even a coffee.

If it’s Sunday, it must be Open Shop!

- We’re setting up repair stands inside & outside

Every Monday is Kids Day at MoBo Bicycle Co-op in Northside! 

Kids can come learn to fix their bikes and enjoy bike-related programming all year long. Kids will sign up for a free annual youth membership, which includes *one free used bike a year* to learn to fix and maintain. Members can then come to the co-op year-round to repair their bikes, learn mechanical skills, and help other kids learn to use tools.

**Do it yourself:** MoBo is not a "free bike giveaway," but a space for youth to repair and reuse secondhand bikes with the support of volunteer mechanics. 

Kids Day is first-come-first-served and we generally stop taking new projects an hour before close. If you're coming for a bike, arrive early and expect to spend at least one hour learning to fix it. Come in throughout the night with repairs and projects. Kids Day utilizes 5 workbenches, 2 tool buckets, and at least 3 mechanics.

**Youth Membership:** Sign up in-person or [online](https://www.jotform.com/form/231715389904059) or a free youth membership, which is good for the calendar year. A youth membership always includes one free used bike, along with locks, lights, and adjustable helmets as long as funding allows.

Join us the last Monday of each month at 6 pm for a casual neighborhood ride between 5-10 miles. All levels encouraged to join. Meet some neighbors, see some streets you might pass by, and join us for a post ride beverage at the shop.

We meet every Tuesday at 6:00 pm at the Washington Park gazebo and roll out at 6:15 pm.
Rides will last 60-90 minutes and meander through city streets and alleys on both sides of the rider. We'll keep a casual party pace, no one is getting dropped or left behind.

When: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month Starting 3/25/2026 through. October.
- What time: 6PM MainStrasse Village at Goose Girl Fountain (Main and 6th Streets).
- Leaving a few minutes after 6.
- How long? 7-10 Miles—we’ll take it easy on the hills.
- Time required: About 1.75 Hours
Who: You and whoever you invite? It's better to ride together.
We’ll have people there a lil' early to do a quick safety check and pump up tires should you need. Even better, visit the Covington Farmer's Market and have a free bike inspection there (ProTip).

- Helmets strongly suggested
- We’ll be riding in a group—not experienced in this, no problem. Just follow directions that we’ll share before the ride.
- Parking (paid) is available in the MainStrasse Village Parking lot.
- Free Parking is available under the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge.

**Open Shop** is a time for you to use MoBo’s bike shop space to learn & work on your own bike.

This Open Shop is specifically for people who identify as **women, trans, femme, and non-binary**. Please respect the integrity of this space and refer to MoBo’s [website](https://villagegreenfoundation.org/mobo-faq/) for workshops and opportunities for other community members.

If your bike needs work, we’ll be there to help you. If you’d like to learn basic skills but don’t have a bike or don’t need yours tuned up, come anyway and we’ll fix you up with a kid’s bike or pair you with someone else.

We’ll help folks on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are 5 bike stands and at least 2 trained volunteer mechanics. Mechanics will help guide and teach you, but not do the work for you! Usually 10-20 people show up. Doors open at 6pm.

**MoBo has most of the tools necessary to work on basic bike repairs and tune-ups. We are all volunteers and will do our best to show you how to get your bike safely up and running but may not have the time to work on every problem. If your bike needs more substantial work, we will help diagnose, but will refer you to a local shop for repair.**

Women, Trans, Femme, Non-Binary Open Shop

Come meet new friends and other families who like to bike! We’ll ride together from Bramble Park (Madisonville) to Isabella Hopkins Park (Mariemont) where we’ll rest, play, & hang out then ride back. 

Total distance is ~3.5-4.5 miles.
