Every Monday is Kids Day at MoBo Bicycle Co-op in Northside! Kids can come learn to fix their bikes and enjoy bike-related programming all year long. Each participant will receive a free used bike and learn how to fix and maintain it! This event is geared towards people aged 5-16.

This will be our summertime schedule until the weather cools down again in the fall.)**

We'll stay close to home and ramble along the ridgetop, exploring peaceful and beautiful streets in Pleasant Ridge, as well as those nearby in Kennedy Heights, Silverton, and Golf Manor.

- Please plan to arrive early so we can all leave in a punctual fashion
- We will meet in front of Community Happens Here
- Ride leaders will be there by 9:45am to answer any questions

**Distance: 15 miles**

**Difficulty:**
- **Mid-level Beginners and above**
- All riders should be comfortable with basic bike-handling and traffic skills
- Route is not suitable for young children, but may be a good match for proficient teenagers (per discretion of parents)
- We will regroup as needed throughout the ride

**Terrain:**
- Predominantly flat to rolling

*Climbs (steeper than +4% grade):*
- Tulane/Montgomery (~0.3 mi; max ~4.5% grade)
- Pandora (~0.3 mi; max ~4% grade)

*Descents (steeper than neg 4% grade):*
- Robison (~0.3 mi; max neg 5.5% grade)

**Traffic stress:**
- >90% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets

*Higher-stress areas:*
- This route is almost entirely on quiet streets (or streets with bike lanes). HOWEVER, there will be three situations where we will turn right onto a busier non-bike-lane street (Ridge or Losantiville), roll downhill for half a block, and then turn left. We will be able to choose our moment to turn onto the busier street, we will be carrying good speed, and we will take the lane to control traffic behind us. Taken together, this provides for a manageable situation, but I do want to mention just so everyone is aware of this aspect of the route.

**Post-ride:**
- Let's gather at <a href="https://www.ninegiant.com/brewpub" target="_blank">Nine Giant</a> after the ride!
- We should be done with the ride by about 11:45am.

Discover ride led by Ride the Cov.  ——— Dates: 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month from November to April (yes, we are riding through the winter! 😁) Time/Place: Winter rides happen November, February and March on the 2nd and 4th Saturday. We gather at the Goosegirl fountain at 2pm. Distance: 7-10 Miles (we’ll take it easy on the hills) Time required: About 1.75 Hours Who: You and whoever you invite? It's better to ride together. We’ll have people there a lil' early to do a quick safety check and pump up tires should you need. - All riders should be comfortable with basic bike-handling and traffic skills
- We will regroup as needed throughout the ride

**Terrain:**
- The route is a mix of flat and rolling, with two notable climbs and a long, gentle descent down Camargo.

*Climbs (steeper than +4% grade):*
- Delta (~1.4 mi; max ~4% grade)
- Lester Avenue (~1 mi; max 4-5% grade)—on our way back to Pleasant Ridge

*Descents (steeper than neg 4% grade):*
- Wooster Pike (~0.4 mi; max neg 5% grade)—as we roll from Mariemont toward Newtown

**Traffic stress:**
- ~80% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets and multi-use paths

*Higher-stress areas:*
- The busiest area will be on Euclid as we head toward Madeira. This is an unfortunate example of a pinch point where there is no alternative route across I-71. We will take the lane and stay alert.
- The second busiest area will be rolling down Wooster Pike toward the Little Miami Trailhead. We will take the lane, stay alert, and maintain good speed due to the downhill gradient. The lower, flat portion of Wooster Pike includes a bike lane.

**Post-ride:**
- Let's gather at <a href="https://www.ninegiant.com/brewpub" target="_blank">Nine Giant</a> after the ride!
- We should be done with the ride by about 12:45pm.

Join us at the Dayton, KY Pop-Up Bike Shop on June 27 from 11 AM–3 PM at Gil Lynn Park to help us offer free bike repairs, greet neighbors, and share some bike joy with the Dayton and Northern Kentucky river city community.

Volunteers can sign up for roles like the Welcome Table, Bike Mechanic (all skill levels welcome), Event Support, Canvassing, and more. Experienced mechanics are especially helpful, and every role plays a part in creating a welcoming, empowering experience for the community.
