An inclusive group ride for folks and bikes of all kinds! We'll roll around the urban basin with routes that focus on calm streets, local knowledge, and building confident ridership.
8-12mph avg, conversational pace, less than 20 miles, never too much climbing. No drop, very supportive, refreshments at Wooden Cask Brewery afterward. Meet at Trailhead Coffee inside Reser Bicycle. Parking is available at the National Band and Tag lot on Seventh or Wooden Cask Brewery on York. Roll out at 6:15pm, please arrive a little early. The Urban Basin Bicycle Club is for those bicyclists interested in riding in the Urban Basin, such as downtown, OTR, Northern Kentucky and the Mill Creek Valley, exploring sights and scenery along the way. 

Some rides are themed (e.g. breweries, art deco etc.) and others are just rambling. Then we will rotate among various bars for a “debrief.” Sound good?

We’ll stay close to home and ramble along the ridgetop, exploring peaceful and beautiful streets in Pleasant Ridge, as well as those nearby in Kennedy Heights, Silverton, and Golf Manor.

Distance: 14.7 miles

Difficulty:
- Mid-level Beginners and above
- All riders should be comfortable with basic bike-handling and traffic skills
- Route is not suitable for young children, but may be a good match for proficient teenagers (per discretion of parents)

Terrain:
- Predominantly flat to rolling

Climbs (steeper than +4% grade):
- Tulane/Montgomery (~0.3 mi; max ~4.5% grade)
- Pandora (~0.3 mi; max ~4% grade)

Descents (steeper than neg 4% grade):
- Robison (~0.3 mi; max -5.5% grade)

Traffic stress:
- >90% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets

Higher-stress areas:
- This route is almost entirely on quiet streets (or streets with bike lanes). HOWEVER, there will be three situations where we will turn right onto a busier non-bike-lane street (Ridge or Losantiville), roll downhill for half a block, and then turn left. We will be able to choose our moment to turn onto the busier street, we will be carrying good speed, and we will take the lane to control traffic behind us. Taken together, this provides for a manageable situation, but I do want to mention just so everyone is aware of this aspect of the route.

Post-ride:
We will finish our ride at the site of the Ridge Day festivities! This will be a fun opportunity to socialize after the ride, while also taking in the goodness of Pleasant Ridge’s annual celebration! Ride Pleasant Streets - Saturday Short Edition

Frienduro is an enduro-style race event, and the proceeds will go to benefit the Devou Backcountry Trails and development of CORA's trail network. 

The Frienduro is an inclusive, fun atmosphere. Riders race against the clock instead of head to head, where each rider takes off with a 30 second gap. 

This race is part of the FUNduro Series! Your best 3 races count for series points!

200 Racer Limit!

Race Parking is in Devou at and around the Stone Shelter. Timing chip pick-up will be at the Stone Shelter.

Primitive camping is available at the Ludlow Bromley Swim Club for $10 per day which includes access to the pool, showers, and restrooms. Pay in person.

Grab your chip and go ride the stages in order, turn your chip in and cheer on your friends and spectate. Afterward, head to Bircus Brewing Company, 323 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky for awards, beer, and food!

Every Monday is Kids Day at MoBo Bicycle Co-op in Northside! 

Kids can come learn to fix their bikes and enjoy bike-related programming all year long. Kids will sign up for a free annual youth membership, which includes *one free used bike a year* to learn to fix and maintain. Members can then come to the co-op year-round to repair their bikes, learn mechanical skills, and help other kids learn to use tools.

**Do it yourself:** MoBo is not a "free bike giveaway," but a space for youth to repair and reuse secondhand bikes with the support of volunteer mechanics. 

Kids Day is first-come-first-served and we generally stop taking new projects an hour before close. If you're coming for a bike, arrive early and expect to spend at least one hour learning to fix it. Come in throughout the night with repairs and projects. Kids Day utilizes 5 workbenches, 2 tool buckets, and at least 3 mechanics.

**Youth Membership:** Sign up in-person or [online](https://www.jotform.com/form/231715389904059) or a free youth membership, which is good for the calendar year. A youth membership always includes one free used bike, along with locks, lights, and adjustable helmets as long as funding allows.

We are meeting at Factory 52, at the new Green Park right behind Hi-Wire and the old tower.

This ride is an opportunity to see the city of Norwood from a new perspective, pass by historic landmarks, and find new and unique cut-throughs and roads less traveled.

The ride will be 10-15 miles long and "party pace". This isn't a pace group or a training ride, but a leisurely wander across under-appreciated pavement.

We'll meet at Factory 52 at 6:00pm, and plan on rolling out at 6:20pm. You can plan on being back at the parking lot by 7:30, and we invite you to stick around and enjoy a beverage. There are also a growing number of food options available at Factory 52.

Terrain:
This route is mostly rolling, but does include a few fan-favorite longer climbs on the way back to PR.

Climbs (steeper than +4% grade):
- Delta (~1.4 mi; max ~4% grade)
- Red Bank Rd (~0.5 mi; max ~7% grade)
- Robison Rd (~0.3 mi; max ~4% grade)

Descents (steeper than neg 4% grade):
- Lester Road (~1.2 mi; max neg 4-5% grade) as we head out of Pleasant Ridge
- Intermittent stretches of Eden Park Drive and Gilbert Ave (~0.5 mi total; max neg 4-5% grade)

Traffic stress:
- ~80% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets and multi-use paths

Higher-stress areas:
- The busiest area will be riding through the center of Pleasant Ridge (on Montgomery). The multiple traffic lights, the lower traffic volume on Sunday afternoons, and our presence as a group will all help to reduce the stress in this section.
- The second busiest traffic areas will be the pedal along Riverside Drive and the climb up Delta. The bike lanes and frequent presence of cyclists on these streets help to keep the traffic stress at a moderate level. 

Post-ride:
- Spontaneous post-ride plans are welcome!
- We should be done with the ride by about 5:45pm.

What time: 6PM MainStrasse Village at Goose Girl Fountain @ 6pm (Main and 6th Streets)
How long? 7-10 Miles—we’ll take it easy on the hills. 
Time required: About 1.5 Hours
Who: You and whoever you invite? It's better to ride together. 

We’ll have people there about 1/2 an hour early to do a quick safety check and pump up tires. You can always rent a Red Bike to participate too. 

Other details: 
- Helmets strongly suggested 
- We’ll be riding in a group—not experienced in this, no problem. Just follow directions that we’ll share before the ride. 
- Parking (paid) is available in the MainStrasse Village Parking lot. 
- Free Parking is available under the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge or in Theatre House’s Parking Lot. 
 
The goals of our rides are simple: 
Get people on bicycles, have fun, be safe and see Covington from 2-wheels. A couple of the rides we have planned this year, a "Photog Ride" (June) with three of the most memorable photo spots in NKY and a destination brewery ride as well (July).

Description:

Join us for the first-ever Tour De Crown on Saturday, August 26th! We will start and finish our tours at 50 West Brewery along the <a href="https://crowncincinnati.org/">CROWN network</a>! The Tour De CROWN is a ride for all ages and abilities through the best of the CROWN’s expanding walk and bike network. With clearly signed courses of 10, 15, and 34 miles, the Tour has something for every person, and lets you explore the scenery, cities, and gems along the trail!

This is a fully supported ride with rest stops and support vehicles along the routes to curb your hunger or alleviate any bike issues. The ride begins and ends at 50 West Brewery, and your entry fee includes a delicious post-ride meal and beverage and CROWN Party right along the trail!

Best of all – the proceeds from this ride benefit Tri-State Trails and the work we do on behalf of Greater Cincinnati region cyclists!

2023 Tour De CROWN Options:

8.5 Miles – 8:00am departure: Enjoy an easy pedal on the Little Miami Scenic Trail!

17.5 miles – 7:30am departure: Expand your range and uncover parts of the CROWN you’ve never experienced before. Ride includes a well-stocked rest stop to keep you fueled.

34 miles – 7:00am departure: Looking for a bigger challenge? Tackle everything the CROWN Trail Loop has to offer – conquer Cincinnati’s iconic hills and see the trail progress first-hand. With 2 rest stops along the route you’ll have the energy you need to finish strong.

Each route is designed to explore the expanding CROWN network and provide a fun experience for a wide range of people. The routes for the 2023 ride will soon be posted on our Tour De CROWN webpage and Facebook page for you to check out and get a feel for what to expect. No matter what route you choose, you will find well-stocked rest stops to keep you going.

Join us for a bike ride around Westwood! We will meet at Westwood Town Hall for about a 3 mile ride. Bring your own bike &amp; helmet!
This ride is welcoming and accessible to all skill levels, and children. We will be riding on the road, but safety will be a priority.
The goal of this and future rides in Westwood is to increase awareness of the need for bike infrastructure on the West side.
