Join us on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025 @ 2:00 PM as we explore Quiet neighborhood streets, a Calm street design on Blue Ash Road, and a few "secret" bike/ped-only paths that make our journey Connected. During our ride we will visit a diverse collection of schools, parks, and retail... all accessible by bike!

This is a beginner-friendly route that takes advantage of the bike lane on Montgomery Road and quiet neighborhood streets. Newer riders will also enjoy the mild terrain—no big climbs and one of our gentlest routes yet!

Departure Time: 2:00pm
- Please plan to arrive early so we can all leave in a punctual fashion
- We will meet in front of Community Happens Here
- Ride leaders will be there by 1:45pm to answer any questions

Distance: 11.5 miles

Difficulty:
- Mid-level Beginners and above
- All riders should be comfortable with basic bike-handling and traffic skills
- Route is not suitable for young children, but may be a good match for proficient teenagers (per discretion of parents)
- We will regroup as needed throughout the ride

Terrain:
- Predominantly flat to rolling

Climbs (steeper than +4% grade):
- Climbs: There are no major climbs on this route. The steepest uphill section is about a 3.2% grade.

Descents (steeper than neg 4% grade):
- There are no major descents on this route.

Traffic stress:
- ~90% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets

Higher-stress areas:
- The busiest area will be riding between Pleasant Ridge and Silverton on Montgomery Road. Except for ~3 blocks, all of this stretch will be in the bike lane.
- There will be a couple street crossings and turns that will require good attention and communication within the group. These are important and normal bike riding skills to develop!
- We will be there to share traffic tips and help you feel comfortable

Post-ride:
- Let’s gather at <a href="https://www.ninegiant.com/brewpub" target="_blank">Nine Giant</a> after the ride!
- We should be done with the ride by about 4:00pm.

An inclusive group ride for folks and bikes of all kinds! We'll roll around the urban basin with routes that focus on calm streets, local knowledge, and building confident ridership. 8-12mph avg, conversational pace, less than 20 miles, never too much climbing. Ride host MartyB and super-sweeper Joe Humpert present DisCOVeRIDE—a slow n' steady ride to explore and celebrate Covington and surrounding neighborhoods! ——— Dates: 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month from November to April (yes, we are riding through the winter! 😁) Time/Place: 2:00pm @ MainStrasse Village at Goose Girl Fountain (Main and 6th Streets) Distance: 7-10 Miles (we’ll take it easy on the hills) Time required: About 1.75 Hours Who: You and whoever you invite? It's better to ride together. We’ll have people there a lil' early to do a quick safety check and pump up tires should you need. Other details: - Helmets strongly suggested - We’ll be riding in a group—not experienced in this, no problem. Every Monday is Kids Day at MoBo Bicycle Co-op in Northside! Kids can come learn to fix their bikes and enjoy bike-related programming all year long. Each participant will receive a free used bike and learn how to fix and maintain it! This event is geared towards people aged 5-16.

- Advanced Beginner and above
- All riders should be comfortable with basic bike-handling and traffic skills
- We will regroup as needed throughout the ride

Terrain:
This route is mostly rolling, but does include a steep and fun descent down Cliff Drive; a substantial climb up Park Side Place, and a two moderate but long-ish uphills.

Climbs (steeper than +4% grade):
- Park Side Place (~0.3 mi; max ~9% grade). Steep but worth it for the Mt. Adams views!
- Mt. Adams Circle (~0.1 mi; max ~5% grade)
- Eden Park Drive (~0.5 mi; max ~4.5-5% grade)
- Lester Avenue (~1 mi; 4-5% grade). On our way back to Pleasant Ridge.

Descents (steeper than neg 4% grade):
- Montgomery Ave (~0.4 mi; max neg 4.5% grade). As we roll west out of Pleasant Ridge.
- Cliff Drive (~0.5 mi; max neg 7.5% grade). Twisty and fun! We'll take our time on this.
- Art Museum Drive (~0.6 mi; max neg 5% grade). On the return portion of the loop around the arts complex.

Traffic stress:
- ~85% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets and multi-use paths

Higher-stress areas:
- The busiest area will be riding through the center of Pleasant Ridge (on Montgomery). The multiple traffic lights, the lower traffic volume on weekends, and our presence as a group will all help to reduce the stress in this section.
- We will be there to share traffic tips and help you feel comfortable

Post-ride:
- Let’s gather at <a href="https://www.ninegiant.com/brewpub" target="_blank">Nine Giant</a> after the ride!
- We should be done with the ride by about 4:30pm.
