Every Monday is Kids Day at MoBo Bicycle Co-op in Northside! 

Kids can come learn to fix their bikes and enjoy bike-related programming all year long. Kids will sign up for a free annual youth membership, which includes *one free used bike a year* to learn to fix and maintain. Members can then come to the co-op year-round to repair their bikes, learn mechanical skills, and help other kids learn to use tools.

**Do it yourself:** MoBo is not a "free bike giveaway," but a space for youth to repair and reuse secondhand bikes with the support of volunteer mechanics. 

Kids Day is first-come-first-served and we generally stop taking new projects an hour before close. If you're coming for a bike, arrive early and expect to spend at least one hour learning to fix it. Come in throughout the night with repairs and projects. Kids Day utilizes 5 workbenches, 2 tool buckets, and at least 3 mechanics.

**Youth Membership:** Sign up in-person or [online](https://www.jotform.com/form/231715389904059) or a free youth membership, which is good for the calendar year. A youth membership always includes one free used bike, along with locks, lights, and adjustable helmets as long as funding allows.

An inclusive group ride for folks and bikes of all kinds! We'll roll around the urban basin with routes that focus on calm streets, local knowledge, and building confident ridership. 8-12mph avg, conversational pace, less than 20 miles, never too much climbing. No drop, very supportive, refreshments at Wooden Cask Brewery afterward. Meet at 7th and Orchard in Newport near Reser Bicycle Outfitters. Parking is available at the National Band and Tag lot on Seventh or Wooden Cask Brewery on York. Meet at 6:00pm; roll out at 6:15pm, please arrive a little early. The Urban Basin Bicycle Club is for those bicyclists interested in riding in the Urban Basin, such as downtown, OTR, Northern Kentucky and the Mill Creek Valley, exploring sights and scenery along the way. 

Some rides are themed (e.g. breweries, art deco etc.) and others are just rambling. Then we will rotate among various bars for a “debrief.” Sound good? 

Invite anyone and everyone. We meet every first and third Tuesday at 6:15pm and roll at 6:30 at the Washington Park gazebo.  Follow the Facebook page (see URL) for details.

Join The Westwood Civic Association on a slow bicycle ride through Westwood. We will ride 2-4 miles which you can plan to take around 30 minutes. All ages are welcome! Meet at Town Hall at 6:30 pm. This event will take place once a month on the 1st Tuesday.

Departure Time: 2:00pm
- Please plan to arrive early so we can all leave in a punctual fashion
- We will meet in front of Community Happens Here
- Ride leaders will be there by 1:45pm to answer any questions

Distance: 12.1 miles

Difficulty:
- Mid-level Beginners and above
- All riders should be comfortable with basic bike-handling and traffic skills
- Route is not suitable for young children, but may be a good match for proficient teenagers (per discretion of parents)
- We will regroup as needed throughout the ride

Terrain:
- Predominantly flat to rolling

Climbs (steeper than +4% grade):
- There are no climbs over 4% on this route… a rarity for Pleasant Ridge! The steepest uphill section is about a 3.5% grade.

Descents (steeper than neg 4% grade):
- There are no descents over 4%… another rarity for Pleasant Ridge! This is a very friendly route for people who are still getting used to hills.

Traffic stress:
- ~95% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets

Higher-stress areas:
- The busiest area will be riding between Pleasant Ridge and Silverton on Montgomery Road. Except for ~3 blocks, all of this stretch will be in the bike lane.
- We will also have ~1 block on Woodford Road, and <1/2 block on Section Road.
- We will be there to share traffic tips and help you feel comfortable

Post-ride:

- We should be done with the ride by about 4:00pm.

A tour of sites important to the experiences of Black Americans in Cincinnati, with an emphasis on environmental racism and institutionalized discrimination.  Re-declaring independence for marginalized groups!

Heather Churchman from the board of the Cincinnati Preservation Association and the internet/social media phenomenon “Covington Uncovered” will assist in identifying sites and presenting interpretive information.

OTR, CBD, West End, potentially Queensgate, and as close to the historic sites of Kenyon-Barr as the bad infrastructure permits.

Juneteenth Slow Roll - Thirsty Third Thursday Rides @ Mellotone!

Get your bike up and running smoothly with Queen City Bike and local partners including Tri-State Trails, Red Bike, MoBo Bicycle Co-op, and Major Taylor Cycling Club of Cincinnati.  Volunteer mechanics will check your tire pressures, brakes, gear shifting and other essential items to ensure safe and fun riding this summer. 

This event is free and open to all, but is especially intended for people living in and near Dayton, KY, and for those who are finding the cost of bicycle repairs to be a barrier to enjoying their bike to the fullest. We're here to help you get rolling!

Ride canceled due to scheduling constraints. Please look forward to the next event on Saturday, July 5! Ride Pleasant Streets meets on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of every month at Community Happens Here in Pleasant Ridge. We gather at 1:45 p.m.; share a route overview and safety talk at 2:00 p.m.; and wheels are rolling by 2:05 p.m. Riders from all over the metro area are welcome! These are welcoming rides with an emphasis on group ride etiquette, bike skill development, community building, and neighborhood exploration. The "1st Saturday Short" rides are <15 miles, and the "3rd Saturday Long" rides are generally 15-25 miles. Routes are varied each month. They are designed to take advantage of low-stress streets, bike lanes, and shared-use paths as much as possible. Route details are shared in advance (~2-5 days) so you can decide if the ride will be a good fit for your fitness and experience level. Join Spring in Our Steps and Queen City Bike for their signature annual collaboration—the Alley Ronde! 

This 30-mile bike ride through several Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky neighborhoods can be ridden for any duration. 

On-route support is available! We start with coffee and end with beer!

We’ll gather at 9am and ride before 9:30am, starting from Lytle Park. Our destination brewery and halfway pit stop are TBD!

We’ve led the Alley Ronde: 100+ Alleys Bike Ride for five consecutive years, deriving from our early UBBC collaboration rides (2017, 2018), and the original 100 Alleys Bike Ride (2019). It’s thrilling to continue this tradition for a ninth year!
