An inclusive group ride for folks and bikes of all kinds!  We'll roll around the urban basin with routes that focus on calm streets, local knowledge, and building confident ridership.
8-12mph avg, conversational pace, less than 20 miles, never too much climbing.
No drop, very supportive, refreshments at The Crazy Fox afterward.

Meet at Trailhead Coffee inside Reser Bicycle.  Parking is available at the National Band and Tag lot on Seventh or Wooden Cask Brewery on York.
Roll out at 2:15pm, please arrive a little early.

What to bring:  yourself, your bike, some water, blinkie lights, your helmet, and maybe a spare tube for your ride (we'll have a mechanic who can help in the event of needed repairs).

This route also features two of the best connector routes for bikes between Pleasant Ridge and Norwood, as well as an introduction to a portion of the incredible Wasson Way.

Departure Time: 2:00pm
- Please plan to arrive early so we can all leave in a punctual fashion
- We will meet in front of Community Happens Here
- Ride leaders will be there by 1:45pm to answer any questions

Distance: 10.5 miles

Difficulty:
- Mid-level Beginners and above
- All riders should be comfortable with basic bike-handling and traffic skills
- Route is not suitable for young children, but may be a good match for proficient teenagers (per discretion of parents)

Terrain:
- Predominantly flat to rolling

Climbs:
- The two hardest climbs will be a short segment up Cathedral Ave. (~0.2 mi; max 4% grade) near Mount St. Mary Seminary; and the return journey up Montgomery Road as we head back to Pleasant Ridge (~0.6 mi; max ~4.5-5% grade).

Descents:
- This route includes a roll down Lester Road (neg 4-5% grade). This is a moderate descent that is great for building your confidence!

Traffic stress:
- ~90% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets

Higher-stress areas:
- The busiest area will be riding through the center of Pleasant Ridge (on Montgomery). The multiple traffic lights, the lower traffic volume on Saturday afternoons, and our presence as a group will all help to reduce the stress in this section.
- The second busiest area will be the climb up Montgomery on our way back to Pleasant Ridge. The majority of this section includes a bike lane.
- We will be there to share traffic tips and help you feel comfortable

Post-ride:
- As with other recent rides, our outdoor post-ride gatherings are on hold during the cold weather.
- Let’s talk amongst ourselves during the ride (or on the Facebook page), and see if there is interest in warming up afterward at a local eatery.
- Whatever the spontaneous plan, please know that additional family members/friends are always welcome to join in for the après-bike relaxation! 
- We should be done with the ride by about 4:00pm.

- Community Happens Here asks that if at all possible, we do NOT use their parking lot during our events.
- There is, however, PLENTY of free parking located one block from Community Happens Here at the Pleasant Ridge Community Parking Lot (behind the Walgreens at 6204 Montgomery Road). From your parking location there, simply cross Woodmont Ave and go past the Sunoco gas station—and you will be at Community Happens Here.

Every Monday is Kids Day at MoBo Bicycle Co-op in Northside! 

Kids can come learn to fix their bikes and enjoy bike-related programming all year long. Kids will sign up for a free annual youth membership, which includes *one free used bike a year* to learn to fix and maintain. Members can then come to the co-op year-round to repair their bikes, learn mechanical skills, and help other kids learn to use tools.

**Do it yourself:** MoBo is not a "free bike giveaway," but a space for youth to repair and reuse secondhand bikes with the support of volunteer mechanics. 

Kids Day is first-come-first-served and we generally stop taking new projects an hour before close. If you're coming for a bike, arrive early and expect to spend at least one hour learning to fix it. Come in throughout the night with repairs and projects. Kids Day utilizes 5 workbenches, 2 tool buckets, and at least 3 mechanics.

**Youth Membership:** Sign up in-person or [online](https://www.jotform.com/form/231715389904059) or a free youth membership, which is good for the calendar year. A youth membership always includes one free used bike, along with locks, lights, and adjustable helmets as long as funding allows.

Along with a sampling of Cincinnati’s beautiful riverfront parks, this ride also features the new bike lane on Langdon Farm Road; a sensational sweep down East McMillan and Taft; a secret tunnel; and the classic climb up Delta Ave.

Distance: 17.7 miles
Difficulty: - Advanced Beginner and above - All riders should be comfortable with basic bike-handling and traffic skills - We will regroup as needed throughout the ride
Terrain: This route is mostly rolling, but does include a steep and twisty descent down Collins.
Climbs: The two hardest climbs will be: - Delta Ave. (max 4.1% grade) as we travel through Mt. Lookout - Lester Avenue (max ~4.5-5% grade) on our way back to Pleasant Ridge
Descents: This route includes a long, glorious sweep down: - East McMillan and Taft (both neg 6-7% grade) and... - Collins (neg 8-10% grade). These steeper sections can be exhilarating and memorable, but if you are <ins>super</ins> uncomfortable on descents, this event may not be the right match for you.
Traffic stress: ~80% of this ride will be on low-traffic streets
Higher-stress areas: - As usual, the busiest area will be riding through the center of Pleasant Ridge (on Montgomery) as we start and finish the ride. The multiple traffic lights, the lower traffic volume on Sunday afternoons, and our presence as a group will all help to reduce the stress in this section. - The second busiest traffic area will be the climb up Delta. The bike lane and frequent presence of cyclists on this street keep the traffic stress at a moderate level. - We will be there to share traffic tips and help you feel comfortable
